Sad Red Panda

Sadly, there are not nearly as many organizations attempting to help the red pandas, as there should be. Because 38 percent of the total potential red panda habitat is in Nepal, most organizations work to reduce human impact on the red panda’s delicate habitat in that area. A law has even been made, which states that any person found guilty of killing, buying, or selling red pandas with receive a fine of up to $1,000 and/or up to ten years in jail. One organization has even made a strong effort of breeding the red panda species in captivity and releasing it back into the wild.

This is why more people should try to help the Red Panda

The main organization that supports red panda conservation efforts is the World Wildlife Foundation. WWF monitors red pandas and their habitat across to better understand the species. In 2011, they worked to helped the government in the India declare that the state held an estimated 300 red pandas. WWF also breeds red pandas to create more of the species, and then they release them back into the wild.
